Deep Red Rubber

I have an exciting announcement, today, at least it is to me.   I am now a part of the Deep Red Stamp Design Team.  I am in love with their stamps and so excited to be on their team.  Today, is my first post for Deep Red Stamps, although it is not my first post using one of their stamps.

For my first card on the design team, I chose the lovely Vintage Skating Girl stamp.  I used a multi-fold technique to showcase this beautiful image.  The center of the card is highlighted with a beautiful Victorian style trellis for more of that vintage loveliness feel.

The Vintage Skating Girl is stamped with Black Stazon Ink and then colored with pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  She is popped on to a center panel and framed by two symmetrical panels with some lovely diecut frames embellished with pearls. I really liked how the frames bring to mind the beauty of the Victorian era to compliment the style of the image.  I chose a light blue color scheme since skating and winter bring to mind icy blue colors.

Here you can see the card opened up.  I have added faux stitching in deeper blue around the panels for more interest.

Finally, I have a close up of the image which is surrouned with silver Stickles and a beautiful cream bow made of seem binding.  The card has two pieces of ribbons to hold it shut that tie under the bow.

This card will be part of a class at For Keepsakes sometime in February.  I haven't finished creating the other cards for this class yet so I haven't set a date.
